My leadership coaching method is designed to change behaviors through significant exploration of both the inner self and the external forces that drive us. Through coaching, leaders pursue meaningful goals, while receiving confidential support and honest feedback in a comfortable space. Many leaders, even those confident in their ability to take on new tasks, benefit from coaching during significant changes such as promotions or stretch assignments. As an independent sounding board, I help identify roadblocks and enable the discovery of the strategies, behaviors and capabilities that help leaders grow and overcome obstacles. 

Coaching is typically weekly or bi-weekly, with a combination of in-person, phone and video conference sessions. Sessions are often paired with a 360 Performance Review process to maximize impact.

Improve yourself with feedback

Feedback is a gift that helps us identify the truth about ourselves. The ability to hear honest feedback — and use it to improve performance — is often what separates leaders from managers.

A 360 Performance Review is a valuable way to receive feedback from your team, supervisor, peers, board members, and other stakeholders. This external review of your leadership increases your awareness, so you’ll be able focus on areas that support your personal and professional growth. Your personalized feedback report allows you to see what’s working, what’s not working, and what needs changing. Then, our followup sessions help you identify viable steps that can be put into action — with the support of your personal coach.

I’ve found that 360 Performance Reviews administered solely via e-surveys aren’t as effective as detailed and feedback-rich processes. My method combines both quantitative benchmarking and detailed assessments.

Steps

  1. You identify 8 – 12 people who have insight into your behavior and performance. They evaluate a list of behaviors and spend one-on-one time with your coach to share specific observations. 

  2. You complete a self-assessment, identifying what you perceive to be your strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for growth.

  3.  I collect and compile the responses anonymously into a detailed report, highlighting important themes that emerge from the feedback.

  4. You and I review the feedback report together and co-create a personalized, actionable development plan.

Transition Coaching helps clients intentionally redesign their career and make the most of the opportunities that life changes can provide. Refocusing your career does not stop at building a resume, using LinkedIn, and networking. I’ll help you explore more deeply — to identify what is driving your change, what matters most to you, and what you want to feel at the end of the transition. During the course of a lifetime, the transitions we experience are rich opportunities for learning, while moving mindfully, creatively, and proactively into the next chapter of life. Whether starting a career out of school, leaving a job or career, weighing options for graduate school or embarking on a new business, coaching helps us learn about ourselves and redirect the path ahead.
